Hummus is one of my favourite dips! It's filled with plant based protein, high fibre and lots of micronutrients! You can dip any vegetables or healthy crackers in it for a great snack! Credit for this recipe goes out to my mom who makes the best homemade hummus, and I just try to copy it!
- 1 can of chickpeas - drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 clove garlic
- Juice from half a lemon juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup pure tahini
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp sea salt
*you can adjust all the seasonings, oil and lemon juice to taste.
Throw all ingredients in a food processor and process until completely smooth. Add more water or oil if you want the consistency thinner.
